I bought these for my 2 and 4 year olds. I was hoping to replace my BPA-free Nalgene bottles with a less toxic material for my kids. I liked these bottles because they are made in Spain and the lining does not have BPA in it (like the Sigg ones did before replacing it with a lining that now peels off). I was not sure from the other reviews if my 2 year old would be able to open and close the top. The top flips open, then you need to twist the mouthpiece before you can get the liquid out. It took the kids about two five minutes sessions to be able to open and close them without help. The lessons were well worth the effort in my opinion. You can fill them with any cool liquid - water, juice, milk etc. - just not hot ones. They need to be hand washed, which is fairly easy. I keep them filled with water in my vehicle, so we are never without something to drink. I love them and have recommended them to friends.

I found this on clearance a couple years back and bought two of them. I was originally looking for the standard fastdraw, but since the insulated version was on clearance, I figured 'why not?' I have never been happier with a hydration product. The insulation doesn't really do all that much insulating (read: your water will still get warm after an hour or so), but what it DOES do is absorb/wick sweat off your hand, so you're not running along getting annoyed by sweat accumulating between your hand and your bottle, forever adjusting the cargo strap because the bottle feels like its slipping all over the place. It also provides a slightly cushier, more comfortable grip. The only downside to this critter is it's a huge pain to get on/off the bottle, but I can get over that. One other trick: if you jam your gu/keys/etc into the pocket BEFORE putting the bottle in, you can fit more in (current record: 4 gus, a car key, my ID). They're also incredibly durable - I've been running with them every weekend and weekdays during the summer for 4 years and I see no signs of wear.
If you haven't run with a handheld before, stick with it - it's so nice to not have to worry about hydration packs/belts chafing the bejeezus out of you on a long run and it's also super convenient for quick refills :)
